Owner Of Missing Warhols Lashes Out At LAPD
"Maybe if they would do their job . . . and spent some time looking for the art instead of being accusatory of the person who had it stolen, they might actually find it," said collector Richard L. Weisman, who added that, on the advice of his lawyers, he would not speak to the police. See Owner Of Missing Warhols Lashes Out At LAPD , Los Angeles Times 10/22/09

I had a chance to explore this past Troy Night Out and had a decent time. I must say I was disappointed when I went to the Fulton Street Gallery to see Aja-Ann Trier's paintings to find they had been unexpectedly taken down (I asked her about this the next day, it was done WITHOUT her knowledge!).
Make sure you visit the River Street Art Center and the Ilium building, located at 406 Fulton St., upstairs from the Fulton St. Gallery where there are actual artists' studio spaces that you can explore, and speak with the artists in person at a relaxed pace... good stuff!
